When teaching your children, where do you look for the truth?

Do you utilize the curriculum provided to you and apply it to the lives of your children? Curriculum is written by humans, and no matter how well it is written, there may be flaws, misinterpretations, or misinformation.

Although it is a great springboard for your lesson, it should not be your only source.

Do you apply your own beliefs or feelings to your teaching?

 I'm sure none of us wants to intentionally or unintentionally lead a child astray...that's not why we do what we do. However, if we do not know what God's word says, how can we teach God's truth into their lives?

“If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.

Do you get your information from podcasts, the news, TikTok, Facebook, or any other form of social media? These, too, are written or spoken by humans. They are one-sided. They are written to persuade you to think like them. Good or bad...it goes both ways!

These forms of media are definitely susceptible to flaws, misinterpretations,

misinformation, and manipulation. No matter who you are watching...and no matter how many followers they have...they can be...and often are...outside of God's truth.

Although they can be entertaining, you should not get your truths from them.

How do you know the truth? By diving deep into God's Word. Follow up on any piece of information you gather by checking it against God's Word!

The Bible...God's Word is your ONLY true source! If you are spending more time gathering information from ANY other source...you are not building TRUTH into your life!
