A Change from Within!

As we enter a brand new year, most of us are making New Year's resolutions. We are evaluating our lives, dreaming of change!

Many of these resolutions will come and go as the days and weeks fade because they are hard to maintain. However, small changes we choose every day will soon become a part of who we are...and in the end, will bring about BIG change.

This week, I am sharing some small changes that we can make that will make a BIG difference in 2024! Each change begins with YOU!

Day Four: Peace comes from being content!

When my husband and I first married in 1978, we had very little; however, we were content and at peace. We didn't have much, but we thought we had it all. Then life happened...kids, a house, and all the things that go along with it.

Life can be very overwhelming at times!

However, when you get to the point of simply trusting in God, laying everything at His feet daily, and being content with what you have and where God has placed you...it makes all the difference in the world.

Each day, in fact, several times per day, either my husband or I will say "We sure are blessed," and the other will reply "We sure are." Contentment...being content with what God has given you and where He has placed you!

Learn to find contentment with what you have...with where God has placed you!

Don't compete with what the world has to offer. You will never find contentment in "things." There will always be bigger and better "things" to chase after. These "things" will never add a single day of peace or contentment to your life.

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4

Create your own place of peace and contentment...it begins and ends with God...and a change from within.
