As I was sitting here pondering what I should share today, this post popped up from 2020. I'm not sure where it came from (it wasn't a memory...I checked) or why it popped up, however...there it was.
I try to never question God so here it is once again...
With the prompting from God, the solar eclipse, and the things that are happening in our world today, I felt it quite fitting to share once again! God's timing is ALWAYS perfect!
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:7-12
A few days ago, I visited my mother...who fortunately lives only 2 miles from my home. We were sitting outdoors in her yard (my childhood home) visiting (our new norm...for now) when I suddenly noticed how beautiful the sky had become. I took a picture...and then I took another a few minutes later...and then another...and another.
Something kept drawing my attention back to the tree...and the skyline.
I shot several pics but somehow, a picture never really captures the feeling, the beauty, the awe of the moment.
However, quite the opposite were the results this time.
While I was focused on the beautiful tree and the sunset...I was missing the LIGHT!
Sure, the sun was in my face...and shining in my eyes...but somehow, I failed to see THE LIGHT!
Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? The answer is nowhere!
Don't get discouraged...don't quit...don't be worried...because our God is bigger than anything the evil of this world can throw at us.
Look to the light...for “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” John 1:5
May God richly bless you and your ministry today.
Keep going...keep loving...keep shining the light.
"Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven". Matthew 5:16
I have already prayed for you this morning.
Keep shining, Sunshine!
