Thank You!

Thank You! Two little words that will open many doors!

One of the most important things that I have learned over the years is the value of the words "Thank You"

I feel that these two little words open many doors!

When we show appreciation to those around us, they too learn to appreciate us...and our ministry. Serving in ministry, I know the value of good volunteers. I also know that if a volunteer does not feel appreciated...they will serve elsewhere....or not at all! Learn the value of the words "Thank You"...and use them often! In today's society, we have somehow come up with the idea that people should automatically want to help us. That somehow they should have the same excitement or enthusiasm for our ministry that we have. That somehow...it's a person's responsibility to help in the children's ministry. However, the truth of the matter is that people have choices. They will go where they feel appreciated and needed. Learn the value of the words "Thank You"...and use them often! Let "EACH INDIVIDUAL" know that their commitment is appreciated. It doesn't matter how large or even how small their gesture is...say "Thank You!" Small gestures have a way of turning into medium-size gestures and medium-size gestures have a way of turning into large size gestures...but only if the person feels that what they have contributed is appreciated. Learn the value of the word "Thank You"...and use it often. Realize that every person that you come in contact with is a prospective volunteer. Learn to appreciate EVERY person that you come into contact with. If someone changes a lightbulb for you...say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone run copies for you...say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone carries something in for you...say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone steps in for 5 minutes so that you can go to the restroom...say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone fills in for you...say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone turns a screw, fixes a broken shelf, shares a coloring page, prays for your group. etc. etc. etc....say "Thank you"...and mean it! If someone is quietly serving around the church...say "Thank you"...and mean it! These two little words...open doors, move mountains, melt hearts, build up, encourage...and much more. Learn the value of these two little words "Thank You!"...they are priceless! Thank you for all of the many, many things that you do! For all of the hats that you wear...for all of the balls that you juggle...for all of the sleepless nights and early mornings and for serving our Lord so diligently! Have a blessed day! I am praying for you!!!
