The God Who Whispers

Some are looking for a God who shouts...and miss the one who whispers.
Photography is one of my favorite hobbies, and nature, God's creation, is my favorite subject.
From time to time, I purposefully wander out into His creation to catch a glimpse of Him, to try to understand Him better, to marvel at the beauty He has created.
For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities all things were created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16
What have I discovered on my journeys? I have discovered that no matter how beautiful something is, it can never compare to the beauty of who God is.
I have discovered that I sometimes focus on the wrong things. I often take a photo of something that I feel is God's finest creation...only to discover that there was more...much more that I had missed when looking through the viewfinder.
Only when I focused on the whole picture did I realize that no matter how hard I look for God...No matter how I think I have discovered something about Him...He shows me even more of who He is.
When I discover something hidden in one of my photos, I hear God's gentle whisper...a reminder...don't try to put Him in a box...don't fixate on one thing...don't put limitations on Him...and don't compare Him with something else...because He is so much more!
I love it when God whispers...
Step outside and look around...God is there...and He is more than you could ever imagine.
Seek Him!
Have a blessed day.

If you haven't guessed it, the bee in the photo below is what I was focused on. The purple dew drop was not! Isn't God amazing?
