The still small voice of God!

Have you ever sat outdoors and listened to nature?

Often, I simply sit in the presence of God and listen to all of

His creations.

At first, all of the normal noises...an airplane flying overhead...or a train going down the track (over a mile away) take precedence.

But then, my ears catch the cry of a happy crow or a barking dog in the distance.

As I sit, quietly; listening to the crow, I suddenly notice another sound...a softer one...and then one that is even fainter than that.

By this time, I don't even notice the louder noises around me...I only notice the still quiet sounds of nature.

No matter how long I focus on the sounds...I can still find one that is even fainter than the one before. Sounds that I never would have heard had I not spent the time to listen for them.

This is what it means to seek the still small voice of God!

Find time each day to escape the noises of the everyday.

Sit in the presence of God...and simply listen! When you think you hear Him clearly...listen even closer!

What is God saying to your heart?

The noises and circumstances of today can drown out the voice of God.

We must spend quiet time with God each day...seeking His voice...seeking His will upon our lives...reading His word...seeking Him!

Just sit...and listen!

Don't tell God what you want Him to hear...allow Him to speak to you and tell you what He wants you to hear!
