Happy Saturday!
When you think of the word Summertime, what comes to mind? VBS, Camp, Children's summer programming?
If you're like most children's leaders...YES!
But remember to take time for YOURSELF, YOUR FAMILY, YOUR FRIENDS! The people around you that make life more meaningful.
When serving in ministry, you must set boundaries for yourself...and your family.
Setting boundaries in our lives is the only way to ensure we stay healthy physically, mentally, and spiritually.
Jesus Himself set boundaries around His time.
"That day when evening came, He said to His disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” Leaving the crowd behind, they took Him along, just as He was, in the boat. There were also other boats with Him. A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke Him and said to Him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”
"He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm".
He said to His disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?” Mark 4:35-40
Today...Slip off with your family or friends. Leave everything behind. Forget about the storms that rage around you. Quiet the thoughts that rush over you like waves! And just "Be Still"
And don't forget that well-deserved nap. Grab your cushion and sneak off to a quiet spot...and rest!
Praying for you this morning!
Have a blessed day!
