This morning, I got up early to begin baking cakes for a family reunion tomorrow.
When I hit a point where I could take a break, I ran outside to check the garden.
When I returned to the house and opened the front door, the scents of cinnamon, chocolate, vanilla, almond, coconut, brown sugar, etc. hit me at once.
What an amazing aroma!
I was reminded of 2 Corinthians 2:15 "For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing".
Being sinners...saved by Grace, it is often hard to see ourselves through God's eyes. We can think of all the ways in which we are displeasing to Him but we fail to see just how much He loves us...and how pleased He is with us.
Today, bask in the knowledge that even though we are flawed...even though we fail...even though we totally mess up from time to time...God finds value in us!
If you find some time today...whip up a sweet, gooey, fragrant treat for yourself and bask in the knowledge...that YOU...are ENOUGH!
