If you do kids ministry, listen, it's not in vain. The kids actually remember you and what you taught them. Today I saw a 4th grader I hadn't seen in a while because I hadn't been to Bible Adventure for almost a whole year. When she saw me, she lit up like the sun, gave me a tight hug and told me how much she missed me. She wanted to sit with me and show me how she could find verses in the Bible now, all the points she got, and everything. She said, "I remember the first verse you taught me: 'Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation,' Mark 16:15!" We taught that verse at least a year ago and she was so new to it all then. I just wanted to cry! That right there ... is the reason we do children's ministry. One sows, the other waters, and God provides the increase - it's a team effort for sure. She may be the next Billy Graham for all we know. The funny thing is, I didn't think she would remember me or care. But guys, they remember us whether we know it or not, whether we see it or not. It's so nice to be able to see it once in a while, though. That being said - to God be all the glory! May the hands and hearts of all who serve kids continue to be lifted up, in Jesus' name, amen.
